firebirds are cool

Well, that's our Tacoma concert done. Liz, Sinclaire, and Greg came all the way down to Seattle and walked fourteen blocks (silly... got off at wrong stop) to come, so that was really, really nice of them and made it that much better!! The music itself went pretty well... probably the best we've played consistently at a concert this year. Still some parts need to be worked on, though - the loud fast parts are ok, but a lot of the soft, slow parts are iffy. It didn't really feel like we were in control, more like it was a train barrelling down the tracks and just managed to stay on course. To make it good enough for NY...eek... knowing that I'll be there in four days (three days? Depending on how you count) is making me unable to concentrate on hw, but I have to write three pages and go to the law library to research my paper which will take a long time and I have to do all that before three o'clock when I'm going to a reception for the scholarship winners and I don't, don't, don't, don't want to! how I am I going to do all this work by Wednesday?!?!? my brain isn't exploding, it's just slowly chuntering to a stop.
